What makes a person lie? Is it a fear of telling the truth? How can some people just lie about everything? I mean the simpliest little things that shouldn't matter are lied about all the time.
I don't for the life of me get it. If you truly believe that lies don't hurt, you are wrong. Especially if they come from a habitual liar. It's hard to identify the truth from some made up nonsense from people who have a hard time distinguishing the difference. Some lie so much that they actually believe what they are saying. They truly convince themselves.
I can understand not wanting to hurt someone's feelings so you tell a little white lie. I mean does this really need to be? Ok so the truth may hurt but wouldn't you rather have it, honestly? After all, the truth may not hurt as much as you think. Especially if it's helping someone.
Society today doesn't seem to care whether they hurt people or not. So if this is the case, just tell the truth. If you don't want to go out, don't go. If you don't want to talk to me, don't answer the phone. If you don't to be with someone, then leave. Just don't sit there and lie about why you didn't do what you should have.
Lying is very hurtful. The pain of knowing you don't deserve to have someone's loyalty and trust just sucks. It just shows you don't care. So if you
absolutely need to lie, think about it first. Think about how much you don't need to do it.
